National Day Parade 2011
Me, cousin and my 2 YWD members have participated in NDP2011 performance.
It was a wonderful and touching experience.
For so long, since the last Youth Culture Festival 2005, I finally step out again to join the big event.
Me and cousin were being selected to be the Chinese Tea cup!!! There are 20 over women in our group and only 6 of us are YWD.
Initially, the training place was a great challenge for me.
I have to rush down after work, with empty stomach to catch up the peak hours train.
Each time, I have to battle with my Superior to let me leave on time; I am so worry that I can't catch the train.
A couple of times, I did miss the training due to work.
Finally the training was shifted to Marina sand bay!
I was so happy because it is near my office and there should not be any excuse to miss any training!
When I realize I need to wear the thick costume and carry the big props!
That make me worry abit but for the sake of Konsenrufu, I must bear it!
At the later stage of training, many fell terribly sick due to the warm weather but they struggle to come for the training.
Every training our dance steps will change, we will have to cope with the changes of dance steps.
Instead of complaining of the changes, we will help one another to polish the steps.
This journey fills with sweat, tears and touch.
I feel with gratitude and appreciation.
There is something I really respect and learn from our Women Division.
They are always so joyful and motherly, they are the most gracious and caring human being on earth.
Their strong Ichinien, determination, faith and action taking are the most precious qualities, we must learn!
WD always said, chant nam myo ho ren ke gyo FIRST before anything.
And I never hear any negative complain from the WD.
Many times, I hold back my tears when I saw them, cause I feel so touch by their strong mentor and disciple spirit despite the challenges, not only they have to work, care for the family and rush down for training.
I got to know there is one WD who carry sickness to training, but she always funny and happy, cracking jokes to make us laugh.
I will engrave it in my heart.
Beside learning from my own group, I also have built a very strong bond with my two YWD members whom I am fostering.
I am so happy for their victories and this NDP will be a platform for them to build our District the "Lion District".
